I strive to provide animals with a modality of care that positively affects both their physical and emotional well-being.
My name is Lisa,
I am a licensed and accredited Registered Veterinary Technician. I am certified in various integrative therapies and body work for our canine and equine companions.
I grew up in Northern Ontario, riding horses and enjoying the outdoors. It was only natural that I would go on to work with animals as a career! I currently live in Tottenham with 5 dogs and 8 horses.
In 2009, I graduated from the University of Guelph with a diploma in Veterinary Technology. Soon after, I attained my credentials as a Registered Veterinary Technician through the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians. I have since been working in a variety of settings with both small animals and large animals.
My passion for helping animals—and the people that love them—has grown throughout my career as an animal health care provider, but I saw a great need for a more holistic and integrative approach to animal wellness.
I obtained my training and certification as a practitioner of Canine and Equine Massage and bodywork in 2015. The many hours of theory combined with intense hands on instruction was greatly complementary to my formal education in anatomy, physiology and clinical practice. I am also a Registered member in good standing with the International Association of Animal Massage and Body Work.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a Certificate in Professional Counselling Skills. Together, these certifications allow me to combine my fields of expertise and dive into an integrative practice. I rely on these skills in consulting and coaching to help clients navigate some of their most difficult moments with grief or when dealing with a difficult diagnosis. I am also able to be proactive in the area of compassion, fatigue and self-care within the veterinary industry.
In all of my work, I am dedicated to professionalism and continuing education. I strive only to provide the best and most compassionate care to my clients and their most loved companions.
I look forward to joining your health care team! Please contact me to schedule a telephone consultation.
